The Inland Fisheries Society of India (IFSI) is situated within the campus of the premier inland fishery institute, Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI).

It is located 7 km. away from Barrackpore Railway Station near to 120 years old Indira Gandhi Water Treatment Plant. One can reach also from Howrah Section alightly at Sheoraphuli Railway Station
and then by crossing the ferry Sheoraphuli ghat to Du Paisa ghat.
